[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Scotty McCreery[/lastfm] has made the decision to go back to high school to finish out his senior year, and to play a little baseball.
[photogallerylink id=46940 align=left] Scotty McCreery first took time off to compete on the 10th season of American Idol. After he won, he took more time off from school to concentrate on his music career. Now Scotty says after he wraps up the concert tour with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Brad Paisley[/lastfm] this Spring, that he’ll return to Garner Magnet High School in North Carolina to finish his senior year.
Scotty McCreery is excited to get back to where he’s just another normal kid. He told the News Observer Newspaper, “Almost everywhere I go someone wants to take a picture or talk to me, but at the high school I’m just another guy with a backpack who wears jeans and a T-shirt. At school, it is just like I never left.”
Even though Scotty says he’s a bit rusty, he plans and hopes to reprise his role as the varsity team’s relief pitcher, “I’m in an adult world now, but I want to be able to play baseball with my friends. I still want to have a senior year in high school and play some baseball. I’ve got work to do. But I think it will come back when I can get home and practice every day instead of one day a week or so.”
